Designing Your Site

 

Global Settings affect the entire site and go across all channels. To get started, click the Design tab in the admin bar.

Logo & Title

Under Global Settings you’ll start by adding your Logo & Title. Each channel will have this logo , unless overridden in Editor. 

    • Enter your Text Logo, Link, or upload your image logo for Desktop and Mobile viewing
      • As a general note, horizontal logos tend to look better in this space than vertical logos
    • Under Fonts Maestro had a wide variety to select from. There are two areas where Fonts appear:
      • Header Font (panel titles, navigation, etc) 
      • Content Font (chat, user name, etc) 
    • Once your logo is added, click Save in the top right corner

Panel

Under Panel you’ll be able to adjust the colors that appear on your channels. These changes will be made site wide.

    • Primary Highlight (color around profile picture, selection items, etc.)
    • Panel Header Background (sidebar framing)
    • Panel Icons
    • Panel Text
    • Panel Content Background (i.e. sidebar, Video, etc.)
    • Panel Selector Background (site wide background unless changed under Current Channel Settings as described below)

When selecting colors, the site will change, showing you a PREVIEW. This is not yet live until you hit Save. Once you have selected your colors, hit Save in the top right of the admin bar.

Note: If any text, icons, etc. aren’t showing up on your site you might have too similar of colors for a text and it’s background color

Navigation

Under Navigation you’ll be able to adjust the colors that appear in the navigation section as well as in your Channel Select.

    • Text Color
    • Text Color (Active)
    • Channel Select Color
    • Countdown Text Color

Once you have selected your colors, hit Save in the top right of the admin bar.

Footer

Under Footer you’ll be able to adjust the colors of the text at the bottom of your channel

    • Link/Text Color
    • Social Link Color

Once you have selected your colors, hit Save in the top right of the admin bar.

 

Current Channel Settings only apply to the channel you are actively on. You can note the channel by looking at the URL in your browser. 

Background:

    • Each channel can have its own background image or color. If you want the same background on each channel, you will need to manually configure it for each channel.
    • If you do not have an image, simply select a background color
    • Grid Text color applies to channels set up in grid mode
    • Background images do NOT appear on mobile, so it will pull from the background color
